KOTA BELUD: The Kadamaian state constituency office and the Community Development Leaders Unit office here are organising a #StayAtHome short creative video competition throughout the Movement Control (MCO) period.

Sabah Rural Development Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said the initiative is aimed at encouraging MCO compliance, especially for the community in the Kadamaian constituency.

“For communities in Kadamaian, a 15-30 second of quality time with family members video during the MCO period can be shared on the N7 Kadamaian Assemblyman’s Office Facebook page. Those who post creative videos will receive a gift from us,” he said in a statement, Sunday.

Ewon, who is also Kadamaian Assemblyman, called on all Sabahans to work together to contain the Covid-19 pandemic and make the MCO a successful one. Meanwhile, in support of the Kota Belud District Disaster Committee’s effort to curb the spread of Covid-19, he also presented RM20,000 to the committee.

“Since the district level Kaamatan celebration is not held this year, the RM20,000 contribution from the Touchpoints programme will be channelled to the Kaamatan festival committee.

“The donation will be used to buy necessities and raw food supplies for family homes quarantined by the Health Department.

“I visited the Kota Belud district Covid-19 disaster operations centre two days ago (Friday) and presented the donation. Hopefully, this assistance will help manage the ongoing situation,” he said.
