Kota Kinabalu: The State Government has decided to allow additional time for petrol stations to operate from 2pm to 6pm to, especially, supply fuel for vehicles ferrying essential goods or for the purpose of essential services operations, with immediate effect.

State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong said such decision was made in a meeting of Sabah Covid-19 Command Centre here on Saturday following the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

He said the petrol stations are still allowed to operate from 6am until 2pm on daily basis which has been fixed earlier.

Tyre dealers in the State had also complained that they were besieged with requests to open their shops for at least a few hours to attend to tyre replacements and punctures in vehicles involved in essential services.
