SPM rescheduled to Nov 16-Dec 7

Kuala Lumpur: This year’s Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination will be rescheduled to Nov 16 till Dec 7, following the extension of Movement Control Order (MCO).However, the date for the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) remains unchanged.ADVERTISEMENT
The Education Ministry in a statement today said the rescheduling was made after reviewing the current situation and making sure that curriculum of all the subjects can be completed within the specified period.
Prior to today’s announcement, the original dates for the SPM were Oct 5 - Oct 14 (First phase) and Nov 2 - 19 (second phase).
Among other major examinations that were rescheduled include Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) (Semester Two) to Nov 18, 19, 23 and 24 and the Form Three Assessment (PT3) for Bahasa Melayu and English subjects to Sept 28 and 29 respectively.
Also rescheduled were Matriculation Programme Examination (PSPM) which will start from Apr 27 to May 4; Malaysian University Entrance Test (MUET) to Sept 5; Pre-Bachelor of Teaching Degree Programme (PPISMP) to June 3- 12; Malaysian Diploma in Education Program (PDPM) to Apr 27 till 30 and Bachelor of Teaching Degree Programme (PISMP) and Postgraduate Diploma Program Education (PDPP) to June 3 till 18.ADVERTISEMENT
Bahasa Melayu (1104) and History (1251) for Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) were moved to Nov 16 and 25 respectively, while Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) (Repeat One) was moved to Nov 25, 26, 30 and Dec 1.
The Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) written test, STPM (Semester Three) and International Language Achievement Test (UPBA) however, remain unchanged.

Also unchanged were the oral and written examinations for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Ulangan (SPMU).
