Malaysia registers 3 more Covid-19 deaths, 156 new cases

Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia on Monday announced three more Covid-19 deaths and 156 new cases, bringing the total to 37 and 2,626 respectively.
The two latest fatalities involved a 47-year-old Malaysian man and 46-year-old woman, both in Sarawak, said the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry also announced 91 more patients had been discharged, the highest in a day yet, bringing the total of those recovered from the disease to 479.
The Ministry said 18,271 individuals from the Sri Petaling religious gathering cluster had been screened, 14,111 of whose samples had been taken, 1,290 of which found positive.

The Ministry said it targeted several groups with potential risk in the cluster including tabligh members, madrasah students and foreigners such as Rohingya, some of whom had attended the gathering.
