Cheras makes 18th Covid-19 red zone

Kota Kinabalu: The Ministry of Health on Monday said Cheras is now a Covid-19 red zone, bringing the total of such zones nationwide to 18 with Tawau remaining the only one in Sabah.

Tawau has the most cases in Sabah at 67, a stark contrast to Lembah Pantai, which is a red zone in Kuala Lumpur with the highest number of cases in the nation at 376.

A red zone in Selangor, Hulu Langat, which has areas under total lockdown at Sungai Lui, follows close with 318 cases.

This is followed by Petaling in Kuala Lumpur with 292 cases. Sarawak capital city Kuching is the only other red zone in East Malaysia with 165 positive cases.
