Authorities announce another religious gathering cluster, in Kuching

Kota Kinabalu: The Ministry of Health on Monday announced another religious gathering cluster of covid-19 that took place in Kuching, Sarawak, in which two deaths and 83 positive cases have been recorded.
The Ministry said the three-day event took place in a church, a cluster from which patients #358 and #2,471 died, 50 are patients being treated, five of whom in critical condition in an intensive care unit, and 25 people are being monitored in a quarantine centre.

The Ministry also announced another cluster, a wedding reception at Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, also a five-generation infection chain that involved 88 cases.
Malaysia also recorded one more death and 131 new cases, bringing the totals to 62 and 3,793 respectively.

The first religious event cluster was a gathering at a Kuala Lumpur mosque which infected more than 1,000 people.
