Health Dept to intensify public awareness to halt Covid-19

Kota Kinabalu: The State Health Department’s Health Promotion Unit will intensify its public awareness campaign in the effort to break the chain of Covid-19 outbreak.Its Principal Assistant Director Ab Razak Md Noh said the Unit aims to encourage the public to keep clean and staying at home.

“Take advantage of the Movement Control Order (MCO) period to observe the surroundings of your respective homes – make sure the rubbish as well as food waste are well-maintained,” he said in a statement.
“Most importantly, make sure the drainage is not blocked and there is no stagnant water which could turned into a breeding place for Aedes mosquitoes and other animals or insects.”Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Ab Razak who is also the State Health Mobile Promotion Unit Head said, the campaign’s approach of public broadcasting and flyer distribution will be intensify in all district health offices in the State.
“This is to ensure the ‘#StayAtHome-KeepClean’ message will not only be emphasised during the MCO period but also a permanent practice,” he said.
