4 held for partying in Towering

PENAMPANG: Four men aged between 23 and 32, including a premise owner, were arrested for disobeying the Movement Control Order (MCO) by gathering and putting on loud music in Towering near here at 9.50pm on April 7.Penampang Police Chief DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim said police heard loud noises coming from a business premises while patrolling in the area.ADVERTISEMENT
“The police then raided a premise where four men were found gathering in a karaoke room accompanied with loud music.
“All of them were arrested for gathering and disobeying the MCO and the premise was also found to be without a trading license and entertainment license.
“Police also seized three sets of karaoke system and cash worth RM1337,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.
Mohd Haris said the case is classified under Section 269 of the Penal Code and Section 22 (b) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases 1988 (Act 342).ADVERTISEMENT
