UMS donates face shields, sanitisers

Kota Kinabalu: The third phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO) extended until April 28 calls for a cooperation and support of all parties to break the chain of Covid-19 outbreak.In line with such effort, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) has taken the initiative to donate face shields and hand sanitisers to the Immigration Department (JIM) and MASwings Sdn Bhd (MASwings) that are among the most with vulnerable service personnel exposed to the Covid-19 outbreak.ADVERTISEMENT
At a ceremony at the Chancellery Building Foyer, UMS on Tuesday, UMS Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Prof Madya Ts Dr Ramzah Dambul representing UMS Vice Chancellor, Prof Datuk ChM Dr Taufiq Yap Yun Hin in handing over 200 face shields and 20 litres of hand sprays to Sabah JIM Deputy Director (Management) Rafeah Ramlan.
He also handed over 100 face shields and 10 litres of hand sanitisers to MASwings representatives Capt Mohd Khairul Mohamad Kamarudin and Chali Awang @ Abdul Hakam.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

“As long as we have the resources to produce these tools, UMS will continue to fulfill this very important social responsibility,” said Dr Ramzah.
At the event, Dr Ramzah on behalf of UMS received a donation for the Covid-19 UMS Fund from Captain Mohd Khairul on behalf of MASwings.
