Police permit a must for all entering Sarawak

KUCHING: All Malaysians including Sarawakians will have to apply for a permit from the police before being allowed to enter the state.Sarawak disaster management committee chairman Douglas Uggah Embas (pic) said those who had obtained the permit could apply to enter the state through http://sdmc.sarawak.gov.my.

He told his daily press conference here the committee would turn down those without a police permit.
Uggah also said churches in Sarawak would continue to conduct masses and prayers through live streaming on Facebook or YouTube.
He said the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) and non-Muslim leaders in Sarawak were now drafting the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to be issued after the end of the conditional movement control order (CMCO).
Meanwhile, no new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the state since May 14. The total number of positive cases remain at 544.
