Car overturns, driver unhurt
The overturned Perodua Viva.
TAWAU: A 33-year-old driver escaped unhurt when his Perodua Viva skidded and overturned while avoiding a damaged road hump at Mile 7, Jalan Apas, on Tuesday.District Police Chief ACP Peter Umbuas said the victim was heading to the military camp in Mile 10 from Tinagat when the mishap occurred at about 1.05pm. “As he was going through the corner road, he lost control of his vehicle, resulting in it skidding to the road shoulder and overturned into a drain,” he said. The case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN166/59.
