Four sustain light injuries in KK accidents

Kota Kinabalu: Four people sustained light injuries in two separate accidents here, Monday.

The first incident involved a Toyota Hilux driven by a woman in her 40s. Together with her was her 20-year-old son. They were believed to be heading towards Putatan from Lido when the mishap took place along the Jalan Lintas–Kepayan stretch just after the Cyber City Apartments at about 2.05pm.

It was believed that the woman lost control of the vehicle, which crashed after running over a puddle of water. The second mishap took place along the stretch in front of Gleneagles Hospital at about 1.50pm.

The accident involved a Myvi driven by a man in his 30s who was with his 24-year-old female passenger. Firefighters were summoned to assist the woman who was trapped in the vehicle. It was believed that a Proton Preve driven by a woman in her 30s crashed into their car at a junction along the stretch. The Proton driver was believed to be heading towards the city centre from Tanjung Aru.
