Pang also expressed gratitude to the owner of Hair Factory and Gift Hair Studio for sponsoring six prizes worth about RM984 in total for lucky draws during the online live fundraising.
Meanwhile, the president of SPCA Tawau, Kapitan Leong Nyuk Yin thanked Union Tea House, Hair Factory, Gift Hair Studio and the public for their generosity and help in order to overcome a food supply shortage of about 400 pets.
Leong said a donation of RM30 could subsidise a dog’s food expenses for one month. She disclosed that the association currently has about RM1,000 left which could only support their (dogs and cats) food for few days.ADVERTISEMENT
Their charity saving was also very rare, which caused the association to fall into no-food dilemma. They also could not hold any charity fund raising programme during this Movement Control Order (MCO) period since mid of March, this year.
“We need a lot of food every day to cope with the basic needs of more than 300 dogs and 80 cats a day, and currently our capacity can only support a few days,” she added.
