Covid-19: One death, 37 new cases nationwide
Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia saw one more Covid-19 death and 37 new cases on Saturday.

The latest death was case #2,296, a 79-year-old woman who was admitted to Sungai Buloh Hospital on March 26 after showing symptoms since March 18.

The woman was the close contact of case #1,508 and was pronounced dead at 2.05pm on June 5, said the Health Ministry.

Twenty-nine of the new cases were local transmissions and the remaining eight were import cases. Of the local cases, 19 were foreigners and the rest Malaysians.

Twenty-five more patients recovered, bringing the total of discharged patients and active cases to 6,635 and 1,551 respectively.
