Labuan Chamber donates over 100,000 face masks

LABUAN: The Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce topped the list donors for face masks with more than 100,000 pieces donated to various government agencies and other bodies over the last two months.The latest group to receive between 1,000 and 3,000 pieces were:

The Labuan Corporation, police, Customs Department, Immigration, Bomba, Consumer Affairs, Land and Survey, Human Resources Department, Health Department, Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) Nucleus Hospital and the Maritime Enforcement Agency to name a few.
Earlier the chamber also distributed to NGOs such as clan associations, its members and some kindergarten staff.
Chairman of the Chamber Datuk Wong Kii Yii said “we want to play our role in keeping Labuan safe from the spread of Covid-19 and complement the efforts of the Labuan Natural Disaster Committee and others.”Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

He added that by ensuring that Covid-19 cases remained a low figure the chances would be good for normal life to restart and for businesses to be as active as before.

He further said the government had already been doing much to break the Covid-19 chain and we as a responsible member cannot be just a spectator to this effort.”
