Second Tenom drowning victim found

The body of a second victim, a man in his 40s were found by a search team on Thursday was handed over to Police for further action.

The body of the 40-year-old foreigner was found 900 metres from where he went missing at 9.49am.
The body was handed over to the police for further action. The second day’s search and rescue saw the Fire and rescue personnel extend the search all along the river.
On Wednesday, his eight-year-old son’s body was found by villagers, about 400 meters from where they went missing.
Another 10-year-old boy was still missing until the operation was stopped Thursday afternoon.ADVERTISEMENT
The State Fire and Rescue Department Operations Center received an emergency call for the three victims at 1.11pm on Wednesday.
A team of Tenom Fire and Rescue Team members went to the scene with five members led by Mohd Zainal Sinsian.with a Vigo utility and a rescue boat.

Based on preliminary information from the villagers, the father and two sons used a small boat to cross the river to go to the farm for the purpose of oil palm cultivation.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The body of the younger son, 8, was sent to Tenom Hospital on Wednesday.
Firefighters were joined in the operation by police and villagers but stopped at 5pm and would resume Friday for the remaining child.
