KENINGAU: Household heads who have not received food assistance following the Covid-19 pandemic have been advised to report to the Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM) in their respective areas, Sabah UPPM Director, Abdullah Minun Sahirun said.He said it was to ensure that no households are left out from such assistance.ADVERTISEMENT
“Our intention is to keep track of all the household heads in need and to those who have not received the assistance, I advise them to meet with the UPPM in their respective areas.
“This is to make it easier for us to help them as this assistance is ongoing and we are always sensitive to the needs of the people,” he told reporters after delivering Covid-19 assistance from the state government at the Sook sub-district hall.
Abdullah expressed hope that the aid would at least ease the burden of the people still facing the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
Meanwhile, Sook Sub-District Assistant District Officer, Paul F. Isidore said since the Movement Control Order (CMO) came into force on Mar 18, some 15,000 household heads, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), mosques, surau and churches in Sook have received the aid.ADVERTISEMENT Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
