Woman arrested for stealing from house that was entrusted to her

SANDAKAN: A 40-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly stealing from a house that was entrusted to her to be taken care of.District police chief ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin said the alleged stolen items with an estimated worth of RM7,000, were found in the suspect’s house during the arrest.

Among them were a 32-inch television, DVD player, vacuum cleaner and a gas cylinder.
In a separate case, two men were arrested in a squatter house in Batu Sapi.
Both suspects, aged 35, were believed to be involved in an office break-in case in Ulu Sibuga, early this month involving total loss of RM26,198.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

He said the suspects urine tests were found positive with methamphetamine, while one of them has a previous criminal record.

The woman was investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code while the men under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
