KENINGAU: More people are joining Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (StarSabah), a multiracial party under the leadership of Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, in the district after seeing the Federal Government’s determination to solve Sabah’s illegal immigrants issue, according to Bingkor Assemblyman Robert Tawik. Recently 36 members from Warisan Sabah led by Dayu @ Jeffry Madulih from Kampung Lambaga Apin-Apin submitted their membership forms to Tawik who is Bingkor StarSabah division Chief at the party Liaison Office, here.

Dayu described Jeffrey, who is also Deputy Minister of Tourism Culture and Arts and Keningau Member of Parliament as a leader deeply committed and serious in defending the future of the indigenous people in the state.
He said the Federal Government under Perikatan Nasional (PN) had assured Sabahans on resolving the illegals problem.
Robert, who is also Bingkor Assemblyman, is confident more and more members from other parties would join StarSabah’s struggle.
“Especially on the issue of illegal immigrants, Sabah rights through the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), in addition to the poverty, welfare and well-being of the people and infrastructure development,” he said.

Robert said the PN government under the leadership of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin would continue to focus on the issues and concerns of the people in the state.
He also called on the people to support the PN government especially in the face of the 15th general election.

“The support and mandate of the people is very needed for continuation of the PN government’s agenda especially the development of Sabah besides the well-being of the people and the prosperity of the state and the country,” he said.
