Sejati 1 branch chief Ibrahim Yusof, in announcing the move, said their decision was not related to any top leaders but of their own volition.
“We had been loyal to the party from the start. However, after we won the general election, we were forgotten,” he said at a press conference here.
Only one branch, Sri Hujung, has been registered with the Registrar of Societies while the rest are still awaiting registration.
“Are we, party loyalists since the beginning, not important anymore and what’s the reason for remaining with the party that has forgotten us?” they lamented.
