papar: Police here have refuted a Facebook post claims of crocodiles escaping from their cages due to the floods that hit the district recently.District Police Chief DSP Batholomew Ak Umpit said officers were dispatched to the scene to check with the operator of the crocodile farm in Kimanis, following the viral post.

“Following investigations, we found the post was merely a hoax as no crocodiles had escaped from the farm,” he told Daily Express Monday.
He reminded those with viral videos or pictures to verify their authenticity with the relevant authorities before sending them to others in social media.
The post on Monday claimed 20 crocodiles had escaped from a farm in Kimanis due to the floods that hit the district following incessant downpour since Saturday.
