1,320 Warisan members in Libaran quit

The 12 branch chiefs announcing their departure from Warisan.
SANDAKAN: Some 1,320 Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) members from Sungai Sibuga and Gum-Gum under the Libaran parliamentary constituency quit the party Tuesday.All the members were from the following branches: Kampung Seri Ujung 2, Kampung Sibugal 2, Ladang Sandak, Sebait Batu 10, Blok 26 Peringkat 5, Pulau Pamaguan, Rancangan Lubuh , Bertuah Bersatu, Gum-Gum, Batu Putih (a) Batu Putih (b) and Taman Pustaka.ADVERTISEMENT
The announcement, headed by Seri Ujung 2 Branch Leader, Nolokman Tamal said 1,250 members from Sungai Sibuga and 70 from Gum-Gum would be willing to leave Warisan with immediate effect.
“We willingly announce our stand to leave Warisan due to the loss of confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
“Therefore, we unanimously express support for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and also N.42 Sungai Sibuga Assemblyman Tan Sri Musa Aman,” he said.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The announcement was made at a press conference at Pavilion Hotel on Tuesday.ADVERTISEMENT
For the record, all 12 branches are not registered with the Registrar of Societies (RoS) which sparked frustration among branch members.
