 Covid-19 test kits for three hospitals

TAWAU: The Hap Seng Group spent of RM1.5 million from the Lau Gek Poh Foundation to purchase three sets of Korea-imported Covid-19 test kits including machines and reagents for Tawau, Keningau and Kota Kinabalu hospitals.

One of the Covid-19 test kits was presented by Hap Seng Group director Datuk Simon Shim to Tawau hospital which was received by its Director Dr Norlimah Arsad and witnessed by her deputy director Dr Azman Ibrahim on Tuesday. Each Covid-19 test kit set cost more than RM100,000.

Simon said Hap Seng Group was very concerned about the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia, particularly in Sabah. He said the Covid-19 test machine could handles more than 100 samples per day and lighten the burden of three hospitals with the testing done in 90 minutes.

Dr Norlimah also expressed her gratitude to Lau Gek Poh Foundation for their generosity as well as other Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) for their sponsorship and supports.
