Darmuji mentioned that the decision was aimed at preventing the potential transmission of the novel coronavirus infection and as to comply with the ongoing transitional PSBB or Large-Scale Social Restrictions. As published by Jakarta’s official website for the coronavirus mitigation, corona.jakarta.go.id, as of July 2, 2020, a total of 27 community units or RW were considered as areas with a high risk of Covid-19 transmission.
Additionally, Darmuji asserted that the slaughterhouses during the Eid al-Adha would only open for the qurban committee under the predetermined health protocols.
