RANAU: The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI), Krishna Djelani, thanked the district police for the co-operation given to it in distributing food items to affected Indonesians throughout the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO), CMCO and RMCO in the area.

“Each food distribution programme implemented had to obtain authorisation, especially from the IPD. “We will continue to work closely with the authorities not only in matters of law enforcement, but in matters pertaining to the Covid-19 outbreak,” he said.

Krishna also advised all Indonesians in the area to obey and respect the law of the country and not be caught in any crime and drug abuse that could tarnish the good name of the country and family.

He welcomed any appropriate action on the part of police against any Indonesian found guilty of whatever crime.

He also reminded Indonesian citizens in the area to ensure they have valid documents.

District Police Chief DSP Sammy Newton thanked the consulate and hoped such co-operation would enhance understanding between PDRM Ranau and it in the future.
