KOTA KINABALU: Offering up to 80 per cent off on select items, the Jesselton Duty Free (JDF) has launched its biggest luxury sale in Sabah.

Running from July 30-Aug 2, the Jesselton Mega Sale offers a variety of special deals and discounts covering more than 100 luxury brands.

These brands include Polo Ralph Lauren, Tumi, Hugo Boss, Swarovski, Michael Kors, Godiva, Lacoste, Versace, exclusive eyewear as well as luxury timepieces in Switch Watch Gallery, among others.

JDF, the first such shop in the City, is located at the ground floor of Jesselton Mall.

The shop which boasts a retail space of 35,000 square feet is a collaboration between Southeast Asia’s leading luxury goods and specialist Valiram and premier property developer Jesselton Waterfront Holdings.

Valiram Assistant General Manager (East Malaysia) Muzaffar Syed said the response has been really good on the sale’s first day, where “we have a good turnout from a lot of new shoppers.”

“A lot of people do not know that locals can shop here which is a huge misconception,” he told the Daily Express.

“In fact, JDF is open to everybody, both tourists and locals as there is a wide range of items which is the perfect time for shopping.

“I can see that shoppers are really loving it.”

“We understand that some had gone back to their hometown for the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration and could not make it to the sale.

“Some even requested to us via social media to extend the sale,” he said.

In line with Government standard operating procedures (SOPs), he said, JDF is putting much emphasis on it.

“We limit the capacity of shoppers where we arrange slots for them.

“They need to register beforehand so that they do not have wait in a long line outside the mall to get in.

“We prioritise social distancing inside the shop.”

The shop is open from 11am-8pm, and to register for exclusive entry passes, click here.
