Kota Kinabalu: A 39-year-old man was detained after holding his two children hostage for close to three hours in Taman Seri Kiansom, Inanam, near here, on Monday. The man was believed to be armed with a screwdriver in the 4.50pm incident. Circumstances leading to the ordeal were not immediately established at press time. City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji did not elaborate except that the man was arrested at 7pm.
