Kota Kinabalu: Ten business premises here and in Keningau have been found tampering with their electric metres and modifications on their underground power cables to commit power theft which caused losses to Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) amounting to RM846,589.67.
Acting Managing Director Datuk Ir. Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid said SESB together with Energy Commission (ST) led the joint operation from Aug. 4 to 6 after being identified of stealing electricity.

Of the 10, six were raided here while four in Keningau including a hotel and spa, a shopping complex, food factories and cold storage, car wash, a wood processing factory and workshops.
