Kota Kinabalu: Dam issues are not political but more towards policies and administration that need a thorough planning process, said Sabah DAP Political Education Director Senator Adrian Lasimbang.
However, he is confident that the State Government will take into consideration existing law and regulations, such as the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) and the Sabah Land Ordinance, in making its decision. Adrian was responding to a report Friday where former Chief Minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee called on Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan)’s Penampang MP Datuk Darell Leiking to remember his promise to cancel the Papar Dam project.
