Shafie okay with Mahathir's new political party

TAWAU: Caretaker Chief Minister-cum-Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said it should not be a problem to work with Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad's upcoming new political party.

Shafie said they always welcome cooperation with Mahathir as long as the party's political platform is in line with fighting for the rights of the people.

Shafie was commenting on Malaysia's longest-serving Prime Minister's announcement on Friday that he will set up another Malay-based political party which will not align with either of the two largest blocks in Parliament.
