SUNGAI PETANI: The husband of an elderly woman found dead with a slash wound on her neck in her house in Bandar Aman Jaya on Monday (Aug 10), was found hanging from a billboard in Bukit Bintang, here on Tuesday (Aug 11).Kuala Muda OCPD Asst Comm Adzli Abu Shah said the body of Tan Kok Jooi, 62, the main suspect in the murder of his wife, was found by passers-by.

“We received a report on the incident at 7.42am. The victim’s family members identified his body and confirmed that he was the husband of the victim found dead with a slash wound on her neck yesterday, while the suspect’s car was found about 50 metres away from the billboard.
“Yesterday’s case is considered solved, but we will continue with our investigation as one case involved murder while the other case is classified as sudden death. The suspect’s body will be sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Setar for a post-mortem,” he said.
The body of Kuek Choo Hong, 61, was found covered in blood and with a slash wound on her neck. Her face was also covered with a pillow.
ACP Adzli said police were also looking for the murder weapon such used to slash the victim’s neck.
