Kota Kinabalu: Former State Lands and Surveys Director Datuk Osman Jamal (pic) said it is necessary to set the record straight that the present handing over of customary land titles to applicants throughout Sabah by Warisan is due to the initiative and hard work of the previous Barisan Nasional government.

He said even if Warisan does not want to acknowledge the extraordinary achievements of the previous State Government in resolving native customary land issues, it should not resort to telling lies and slander.

“The Warisan government is only reaping what the BN government led by Tan Sri Musa Aman sowed in the issuance of customary land grants, as the BN government faced delays in surveying the lands for decades due to shortage of funding and manpower,” he said.
