Kota Kinabalu: The Election Commission (EC) is urged to require election candidates in the coming State Election to declare their asset and source of income before and during the submission of nomination forms.
Sabah Youth Council permanent chairman Mazlan Joe Manan said this could ensure the candidate’s asset tallies with his or her source of income.

“It could also prevent future power abuse or corruption and will set a good example for the young generation,” he said in a statement, Friday.
