RANAU: Thirty crime cases were recorded in the district from February to July this year, with eight being violent crimes and the rest property crimes.

This showed a decrease compared to 48 cases during the same period in 2019, with nine cases of violent crimes and 39 cases of property crimes.

Ranau District Police Chief DSP Sammy Newton said violent crime cases have decreased by 11.11pc while property crime cases have decreased by 43.59pc.
