KOTA BELUD: Voters should punish Upko candidates in the coming Sabah snap election, especially in Kadamaian where its assemblyman has betrayed the voters’ mandate, said former Kadamaian Assemblyman Datuk Herbert Timbun Lagadan.

He said Upko leaders such as Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau and Datuk Ewon Benedict cannot be trusted because they brought Upko to join Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) after the 14th General Election (GE14).

“Thus, they betrayed the consensus of the Presidential Council, a tripartite alliance of PBS, Upko and PBRS, signed before the GE14 to consolidate energy, support and campaign machinery to help the contesting candidates of the three parties to win the GE14,” he said.
