“If you look at any developing country around the world, it’s a matter of time. As Malaysia progresses towards a developed nation, things like vacancy tax will come into play. Now is this a good thing or bad thing, look at how Singapore does it or other countries do it, it does keep a control on planning and housing development,” he said.
