LABUAN: The Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce suggested that the State Government, if due to reasons of budget is unable to speed up the second ferry landing ramp at Menumbok, should have the project offered to a private firm “under a mutually beneficial agreement.”

Chamber Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii said the ferry landing ramp in Menumbok is long due as without the facility, commuters from Labuan and the mainland will continue to be plagued with inconvenience despite having five ferries to serve the rout.

“The purpose of having more ferries is defeated,” he said.
