Kota Kinabalu: Forty-five members of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Sabah branch reported a decline in revenue, production volume and orders for their products as a result of the MCO lockdown and containment measures since March 18.
They participated in a mid-year survey on the business effects of Covid-19 MCO affecting them reported that they expect a drop of 50 per cent in three business segments – revenue, production volume and orders for the next six months ending 2020.

This was revealed by FMM Sabah Chairman James Ha Haw Yew
(pic) at the IDS forum on “Impacts of Covid-19 Pandemic on Sabah’s Economy and the Recovery Response Required,” recently. He told the audience that FMM Sabah plans to conduct another survey in Jan 2021 to obtain feedback for the attention of the Sabah government.
