Kota Kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) has ironed out an agreement on four of the 17 seats where Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and Parti Solidarity Tanah Airku (Star Sabah) clash, officially agreeing to let go two seats each to one another so that they can face Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) straight on.

Discussions are ongoing for four more seats. According to the agreement, PBS will allow Tambunan and Bingkor seats to be contested by Star Sabah candidates with its full support, while Star Sabah would do likewise for Api-Api and Bengkoka for PBS.

Both PBS and Star Sabah earlier had candidates contesting against one another in the four seats concerned. Contesting the Tambunan seat is Star Sabah President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.
