Kota Kinabalu: A total of 270 Sabah Contingent Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers and personnel could not go to the polls because they were under quarantine said Election Commission Chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh at the Sabah Police Contingent (IPK), Kepayan.
He said all were part of the General Operations Force (GOF) in Lahad Datu and in the Kota Kinabalu area involved in arresting foreigners that were later tested positive for Covid-19.

“However the process as of 10am went smoothly with a turnout of 35pc in the Kepayan area and I have issued an order for the PDRM Kepayan to go out to vote earlier due to the unpredictable weather conditions. So far all the processes are running smoothly, well and controlled and there were no fights and chaos anywhere.
