Kota Kinabalu: Twenty-four hours after they went to the polls and the results were known, there is still no clear indication as to who will be appointed as Sabah’s 16th Chief Minister following the State’s 16 election which ended Saturday. It has been speculated that Sabah Parti Pribumi Sabah (Bersatu) Chief Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor may be the choice based on the 41 Statutory Declarations presented to the TYT (Governor) Sunday afternoon from the 38 winners from various parties making up the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and three Independents who have aligned themselves with GRS.

They also said that the choice of Hajiji was not easy and that Umno stalwarts Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak were objectors. Both were also said to be eyeing the post.
