Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia recorded eight deaths due to Covid-19 on Sunday – all of them in Sabah. Sabah had also recently recorded a total of eight deaths in a single day. Based on the Ministry of Health’s statistics, the cumulative deaths in Sabah due to Covid-19 is 98 out of the 229 deaths recorded nationwide to date.

The number of deaths in Sabah went up by two on Sunday compared to six on Saturday. The seven deaths were recorded in Red Zones namely three in Sandakan, two each in Kota Kinabalu and Tawau, and one in Lahad Datu Hospital.
