Car reverses into patients: Seven hurt

Kota Kinabalu: About seven elderly citizens sustained injuries when a vehicle reversed into them at a health clinic in Luyang, here, early Tuesday.It is understood that the female driver, also a senior citizen, immediately alighted from her car and apologised profusely to everyone.

“The car suddenly came crashing into us without warning,” said one elderly, who only wanted to be known as Madam Chin.
Chin who was there for her medical review said a group of them, mostly senior citizens, were waiting for the health facility to open when it happened.
“Some of us were sitting at a bench provided for elderly citizens, while others were standing within the premises when the car suddenly reversed,” she said.
Chin who suffered injuries to her leg and head said four of them were sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital II and were given outpatient treatment.
