PENAMPANG: The owner of a sundry shop here suffered RM500 loss after her shop was broken into, Wednesday.

The padlock was cut and all the cigarettes in the shop stolen.

On Wednesday morning, Kwan, the brother of the shop owner, said his sister was on her way to buy goods and while passing by the shop, she saw her cats that were supposed to be in the shop outside.

“Surprised by the incident, my sister checked and found that the padlock was cut.

“We are lucky to only lose RM500 because the cigarette stock was supposed to come in today, otherwise, we will lose thousands of ringgit,” he said, adding that it is possible that the shop was break in between 4am and 5am.
