Costly walk around village for two
Kota Kinabalu: A walk around the village turned costly for two men as they were issued compounds for breaking their home quarantine.

The first man, a 36-year-old from Kg Kelabu in Beaufort, was seen walking around with a white quarantine bracelet about 9pm on Monday.

Policemen responded after receiving information and issued him with a compound before instructing him to return home.

The second is a 51-year-old, who was slapped with a fine after he was seen walking around Kg Rancangan about 10pm on the same day.

Speaking about this, Beaufort OCPD Deputy Supt Azmir Abd Razak said the man “was bored and had gone for a walk”.

He said the actions of these two put the health and lives of others at risk.

“Please abide by all standard operating procedures during this pandemic and stay home if you are under quarantine, ” Azmir said.
