Kota Kinabalu: Quick action by a police officer in rendering emergency assistance – including tying the umbilical cord with a face mask strap – saved the life of a bleeding mother and her newborn at the Jetty Penampang Pulau Gaya, near the Central Market, on Monday.
According to ASP Johri Rubinsin who was on Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) duty at the jetty, a boat was seen approaching it at 7.38pm.
