‘Tenants should be given food baskets’

SANDAKAN: Those staying in rented houses in two localities currently under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) here hope food baskets will also be delivered to them and not just limited to one house one basket. The two localities are Kg Melayu Bumiputera and Kg Berhala Darat.  “There are houses where more than one family live in, thus they hope food baskets are delivered according to the number of families staying in the house,” said the affected tenants.  They said they are also affected by the EMCO and that their husbands or family head could not go to work because their employer did not provide any letter which will enable them to work during the period.  “We therefore hope the food baskets will also be distributed to tenants like us who are also affected by the movement restrictions,” they said.
