LAHAD DATU: Parti islam SeMalaysia (PAS) and non-governmental organisations from the Jabatan Amal Malaysia distributed 100 food kits to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Kg Jawa and Kg Tamoi, in Silam, here.The charity programme was held in conjunction with the National Day celebration on Tuesday.

PAS Silam Lajnah Kebajikan dan Kemasyarakatan Head, Nizam Latuah said it was part of their continuous effort since early August.
“Our welfare mission like this will not stop here. PAS will continue to help the affected communities, especially with the surge in Covid-19 cases of late,” he said in a statement, here.
He also said that PAS Silam is also committed in assisting and working with the Federal and State government to contain the spread of the Covid-19.
Also present were PAS Silam Information Chief, Mohd Ahzam Che Mat, among others.

Mohd Azham expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in the making the programme a success.
He said the recipients were overjoyed with the food assistance given to them, adding that he hopes it will help ease their (recipients) burden during the pandemic.
