Ranau aims to vaccinate 78,200

Among the hundreds of residents present to receive the injections at the Ranau Community Hall.
RANAU: The Vaccination Centre (PPV) at the Ranau Community Hall recorded a total of 54,459 (69.64pc) people receiving the first dose and 414,759 (58.04pc) having completed the second dose as of Sept 1.The Ranau Health Department is targeting 78,200 people aged 18 and above to be vaccinated this year.ADVERTISEMENT
District Medical Officer as the Chief PPV Coordinator of the Ranau community hall, Dr Edwaider Koimon said, the numbers show an increase in public awareness on the importance of immunisation to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

“We hope the people in Ranau and Kundasang aged 18 and above who have not received their vaccination to come forward as a protection or shield for themselves, their families and the community against Covid-19,” said Dr Edwaider.
On Thursday, another 797 locals and foreigners were present to receive the second dose injection (397 people) and the rest received the first dose injection.
