Covid positive man escapes from Lahad Datu hosp

LAHAD DATU: A 30-year-old local (pic) escaped from the Lahad Datu Hospital after he was tested positive for Covid-19.District Police Chief, ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad said the man, wearing a T-shirt and short pants, came to the Emergency Department of the Lahad Datu Hospital at 8.07pm on Monday.ADVERTISEMENT
Rohan said during consultation, the man complained of having fever and loss of taste. Following this, RTK swab test was conducted on the patient and the result was positive.
“During documentation process carried out by hospital staff, the suspect fled undetected. A police report was lodged for further action.
“Police have launched a manhunt to track down the suspect whose address was at Batu 7, Jalan Silam. Those who have information on the suspect’s whereabouts should immediately contact the police,” he said.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
